Overview:
Join our dynamic team as a Senior Cost and Inventory Accountant, where you will spearhead all inventory accounting activities for our Horizon-Dharmacon and BIOO Business units located in Lafayette, Colorado. As a pivotal member, you will establish and uphold the inventory accounting principles and practices integral to the business unit's success. Your expertise will ensure robust internal controls and the meticulous preparation of inventory financial reports, empowering strategic decision-making at every turn.
In this role, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, contributing to planning and budgeting initiatives to drive organizational growth and efficiency. This opportunity is hybrid, expected to work at our subsidiary in Lafayette, Colorado (Tuesday - Thursday).
Job Purpose:
The role involves comprehensive management and oversight of inventory accounting in accordance with ASC 330 for the Dharmacon Inc. and BIOO business units. Key responsibilities include maintaining local inventory ledger entries, managing product BOM standard costings, handling variance and balance reporting, and overseeing obsolescence and shelf-life management. The role ensures the accuracy and timeliness of recorded financial data and involves conducting test counts and other inventory control functions.
Additionally, the position encompasses the ownership, calculation, and initiation of supplier royalties for sales made by the Dharmacon and BIOO businesses globally. The role requires attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple aspects of inventory and supplier payments efficiently.

The base salary range for this full-time position is $85,000.00 - $95,000.00. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target for a new hire in this position. The base pay actually offered to the successful candidate will take into account internal equity, work location, and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process. Please note that base pay is only one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This range allows for the successful candidate to have an opportunity to progress within the position and develop at our company.
