Fall Transportation Assistant Intern

As a BNSF Logistics Intern, you'll learn practical, on-the-job experience in a business environment. The time spent as an intern lets you evaluate BNSF Logistics for future employment, just as it lets BNSF Logistics evaluate you as a future employee.

Primary Functions:

The primary function of the Transportation Assistant Intern is to support in the coordination and management of shipments as requested by the customer.

Education and/or Experience Qualifications:

• High school or GED required

Position Responsibilities:

• Manage shipment to include: data entry, track and trace, setting appointments.
• Manage carrier responsibility to include: data entry, track and trace, secure equipment.
• Manage internal TMS as well as update various other TMS by account as needed.
• Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.

Required Job Qualifications:

• Current student pursuing a two or four year degree in a related field
• Interested in pursuing a career in transportation and logistics
• Strong work ethic, initiative and ambition
• Excellent verbal/written communication skills
• Strong skills in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, Access, etc.)
• Must be organized, detail-oriented and able to follow through with tasks to their conclusion
• Comfortable working in a fast paced environment

Desired Job Qualifications:

• Customer Service experience a plus
